Elegantech Labs Inc ("we," "us," or "our") built the Officiant mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Officiant App.
By using Officiant, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Officiant is strictly for users aged 18 and older.
We do not permit anyone under 18 to use the App.
By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
If we discover that a user is under 18, their account and data will be deleted immediately.
We collect different types of information to provide and improve the App:
Personal Information: Name, email address, profile info (photo, age, “about me”).
Location Data: Collected with your consent to enable proximity-based features.
Usage Data: Interactions within the App, feature usage, diagnostics, crash reports.
Log Data: Technical info such as IP address, device info, OS version, app configuration, timestamps, and other statistics.
We use your information to:
Manage and maintain your account.
Operate, improve, and personalize the App.
Enable social and location-based features.
Communicate important updates and notifications.
Enforce user safety and comply with legal requirements.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or prohibited content.
To respect your privacy and comply with platform policies, Officiant requires manual check-ins each time you want to share your location with others in the App — no automatic or background location sharing occurs.
You control location sharing through in-app prompts and device settings.
You can block other users from seeing your location or contacting you.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information:
With your consent.
With trusted service providers who help operate or improve the App.
To comply with legal obligations or valid legal processes.
To protect user safety, enforce our Terms of Service, or respond to legal claims.
Officiant integrates third-party services (e.g., Apple, Google, Firebase, Stream), which may collect information to provide features or analytics. These providers have their own privacy policies — please review them separately.
Officiant does not explicitly use cookies, but embedded third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies. You may control this through device or browser settings, though some features may be affected.
Officiant is not intended for anyone under 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 18.
If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will:
Immediately delete the account
Remove associated data
Block further access
Officiant maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding CSAE and CSAM:
Such content is strictly prohibited.
We use automated tools and human moderation to detect, remove, and report such content.
Users can report suspicious activity within the App.
Reports are investigated and escalated to law enforcement when required.
We provide resources and support links for victims.
Any violation will result in permanent removal from the App and reporting to authorities.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations.
If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe.
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Use of the App is at your own risk.
