The Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Utara Malaysia (MPP UUM), also known as the Student Representative Council of Universiti Utara Malaysia (SRC UUM), plays a pivotal role on campus, not merely as a student organisation but as the official body that bridges the voices of students with the university administration.
We act as the voice of over 20,000 UUM students, bringing their concerns, ideas, and solutions to the highest levels of university management. Our mission is to ensure that every student’s welfare, academic needs, policy concerns, and overall development are heard, addressed, and considered in every decision that impacts campus life.
“We are entrusted to lead, strategise, and guarantee that every student voice is not only heard but thoughtfully considered in shaping the future of the university community.”
For the 2024/2025 session, MPP UUM comprises 43 dedicated council members, elected through the Campus General Election (Pilihanraya Kampus), a genuine exercise in student democracy. This council comprises 10 General Representatives and 33 School Representatives, with two representatives from each school within the university.
At the helm is the High Council of 11 student leaders, supported by 32 executive members heading their respective departments, forming a complete and dynamic organisation committed to serving the UUM student body.
