Privacy Policy (OfficeTools Pro)
Last updated: 15 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how OfficeTools Pro App handles information when you install and use the App on your device. It is intended to meet common requirements for Google Play and similar app stores, and to help you understand our practices in clear language.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
Quick summary
- No account required — you can use the App without signing in to FaujiTec.
- Your documents stay on your device — scanning, PDF tools, image editing, and file conversion run locally on your phone or tablet. We do not operate servers that receive or store your document contents.
- Ads — the free App may show ads through Google AdMob. Where required by law, we use Google’s **User Messaging Platform (UMP)** so you can manage certain advertising privacy choices.
- On-device AI — features such as OCR and background removal use Google ML Kit on your device.
- No FaujiTec analytics service — we do not send your usage to our own analytics backend. Debug builds may print technical logs to the developer console only.
1. What the App does
OfficeTools Pro is a productivity application that helps you work with documents on your device, including:
- Scan Doc — capture or import images and save scans as PDF
- Image Tools — resize, crop, compress, convert formats, and remove backgrounds
- PDF Tools — merge, split, reorder, rotate, compress, protect with a password, and OCR (where available)
- Convert Files — convert between supported formats (for example PDF and Word, images to PDF)
- Calculators — GST, SIP, EMI, and related calculators
- My Files — access files you created or saved through the App
2. Information we process
2.1 Files and content you provide
When you use the App, you may select, capture, or create:
- Photos and scans (including via the camera)
- Images and documents from your photo library or file picker
- PDFs, text, and other files you choose to open, convert, or edit
How we use it: Only to provide the feature you requested (for example merge PDFs, resize an image, or export a scan).
Where it is processed: On your device, unless you explicitly use another app (for example when you tap Share or Open and choose a third-party app).
What we do not do: We do not upload your document contents to FaujiTec servers as part of normal App operation.
3.2 Output and saved files
Processed files are saved to locations on your device that you choose or that the operating system provides (for example app storage or a folder you select). You control those files through the App, your file manager, or system settings.
3.3 “My Files” and local app data
To help you reopen recent work, the App may store on your device:
- File names, types, dates, and local file paths
- Optional thumbnails or references to files that still exist on your device
This information is stored using local device storage (for example SharedPreferences on Android and equivalent storage on iOS). It is not transmitted to FaujiTec in the ordinary course of using the App.
3.4 App settings and preferences
The App saves preferences locally, such as:
- Scanner options (for example auto-detect edges, keep original copy)
- Default image quality
- Theme (light, dark, or system)
- Dismissed in-app tips
These settings remain on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the App.
3.5 Advertising data
The App displays advertisements through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
Depending on your country, device, and choices:
- Google and its partners may collect or use data such as advertising identifiers, device information, and interaction data to deliver, measure, and improve ads, and to prevent fraud.
- The App may show a consent or privacy options flow using Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) where required. You can also open Settings → Privacy options in the App when UMP makes that available.
We do not receive your document contents through AdMob.
3.6 On-device machine learning (Google ML Kit)
The App uses Google ML Kit libraries for features such as:
- Text recognition (OCR) on PDFs or images
- Selfie / subject segmentation for background removal
In typical use, processing happens on your device. Google’s SDKs are subject to [Google’s Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) and applicable platform terms.
3.7 When you share or open files elsewhere
If you use Share, Open, or similar actions, the file is handled by the app or service you select (email, cloud storage, viewer, etc.). That third party’s privacy policy applies to their handling of your data.
3.8 Technical and diagnostic information
- The App requires internet access primarily for advertising and related SDK functionality.
- We do not operate a separate FaujiTec analytics or crash-reporting service that collects your personal data in production builds.
- During development, non-identifying debug messages may appear in developer logs; these are not used as end-user analytics in the published App.
4. Device permissions
The App may request permissions when needed for a feature.
You can grant or deny permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
Android declares `INTERNET` and `CAMERA` in the App manifest. Additional storage or media permissions may be requested at runtime by the operating system or plugins when you pick files.
iOS requests camera and photo library access with system permission dialogs when you use those features.
5. How we use information (purposes)
We process information only to:
1. Provide App functionality you request on your device
2. Remember local preferences and recent items in My Files
3. Display ads and comply with consent requirements through Google UMP where applicable
4. Maintain security and compatibility of the App with your device and app stores
We do not sell your personal information for money.
6. How we share information
We do not store or sell your personal data to data brokers.
7. Data retention
We do not maintain a central database of your document contents.
8. Security
Routine document processing is designed to occur on your device. Network communication used by integrated services (such as ads) generally uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) where supported by those services.
No system is completely secure. Please use a device passcode or biometric lock and keep your operating system updated.
9. Children’s privacy
OfficeTools Pro is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own marketing purposes.
10. International users
If you use the App outside your home country, information may be processed on your device and, when you use third-party services (such as Google), in countries where those providers operate. Those providers may use appropriate safeguards where required by law.
11. Your privacy rights
Most data in this App is stored only on your device or held by third parties such as Google. To delete local App data, use your device’s clear storage / clear data for OfficeTools Pro or uninstall the App. For Google-held data, use [Google’s privacy tools]
12. Third-party services and open-source components
The App is built with standard frameworks and libraries, including Flutter, Syncfusion (PDF viewing and manipulation on device), image processing libraries, and platform plugins for file picking, sharing, and opening files. These components operate according to their licenses and, where applicable, their providers’ terms.
A list of dependencies is maintained in the App’s source repository (`pubspec.yaml`). We do not list every sub-dependency here; integrated SDKs (notably Google Mobile Ads and Google ML Kit) are described in the sections above.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time—for example when we add features, change partners, or when laws or store policies require it. When we update it, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required (for example in the App or on the store listing). Continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated policy means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires a different process.
