Office Setup is an important process that helps the users to avail all the benefits of various Office applications along with managing your device. For Office Setup, you are required to activate, download and install the application on your system. To experience an error-free setup, you have to follow the processes mentioned below.

How to Activate and Download Office Setup File?

To begin the Setup process, you initially need to purchase the Office subscription then you'll start the activate and download process. For this, follow the method given below.

  1. Open a web browser.

  2. Then, you have to visit the activation window of Office by typing “office.com/setup”. You must enter the URL carefully in the address bar and then hit the Enter key.

  3. This will redirect you to the activation window. Here, you first have to sign in to your account. Now, click the “Sign In” tab and then provide the login credentials that are associated with Office.

  4. On the other hand, if you are a new user and want to create an account, then, tap the “Create a new account” option. Now, you will be redirected to the account creation webpage. Provide the necessary information for the successful creation of your account.

  5. After that, you are required to enter the Office product key. Carefully enter the product key in the empty field. In order to find a product key, you have to look at the product card, in the confirmation mail or in the order history.

  6. The next step of the Office Setup process is to select the country or the region you are living in. Along with this, you also have to select your desired language. For this, click the inverted triangle and then select from the drop-down menu.

  7. Afterwards, you have to click the “Next” tab.

  8. Again press the “Next” option to proceed further with the Office setup process.

  9. This will redirect you to your Office Account.

  10. Here, you have to click the download link provided under your purchased subscription. Click the “Install” link to initiate the download process.

  11. Now, the setup file will start downloading. You have to wait for the completion of the process.

  12. After the successful completion, the setup file will get saved in the Downloads folder.

Procedure to Install Microsoft Office

Windows:

  1. Open the Downloads folder on your computing device.

  2. Further, you have to locate and double-click the Office setup file.

  3. Then, a Security Warning pop-up will appear on your device. Now, you have to click the “Run” tab to permit the Office application to run on your device.

  4. You might also get a User Account Control popup on your screen. Here, you have to click the “Yes” tab to allow the Office application to make the necessary changes.

  5. This will begin the installation process of an Office application. You have to wait until the process gets successfully completed.

  6. After the successful completion, you will get the “You’re all set” window. Here, you have to click the “Close” tab to come out of the installation wizard.

Mac:

  1. First of all, open the Downloads folder on your Mac device.

  2. In the Downloads folder, you have to search for the Office setup file that you have downloaded. Then, double-click it to begin the setup process.

  3. Now, the welcome window will display on your screen. Here, you have to tap the “Continue” button to proceed further.

  4. In the next window, you are required to read the License Agreement document. Carefully read the complete document and click “Continue”.

  5. After that, a popup box will display on your screen. Here, you have to click the “Agree” tab to accept the terms and conditions mentioned in the document.

  6. Thereafter, the Office asks you to make the changes in the installation location of the setup file. For this, you have to click the “Change Install Location” tab and then make the required changes. Once you are done with the changes, then come back to the installation wizard and click the “Install” tab.

  7. Now, you will get a popup box asking you to enter the Mac Administrator username and password. Here, enter the credentials and press the “Install Helper” tab.

  8. By doing so, the installation process of the Office application will begin. You have to wait for the successful completion of the process.

  9. Once the Office Setup process gets completed, you have to click the “Close” tab from the completion message window.
