Choose this option to share items with lots of people you might not even know personally. For example, you can use these links to post to Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, or share in an email or message. Anyone who gets the link can view or edit the item, depending on the permission you set. Users with the link cannot upload new items. If the sharing link points to a folder, you may be required to sign in with a Microsoft account. Don't have one?

People with existing access can be used by people who already have access to the document or folder. It does not change any permissions. Use this if you just want to send a link to somebody who already has access.

Specific people gives access only to the people you specify, although other people may already have access. If people forward the sharing invitation, only people who already have access to the item will be able to use the link.

Allow editing lets people who are signed in with a Microsoft Account edit the files or folders they have access to. If you're sharing a folder, people with Edit permissions can copy, move, edit, rename, share, and delete anything in the folder they have access to. Unchecking this box means that people can view, copy, or download your items without signing in. They can also forward the link to other people. However, they cannot make changes to the version on your OneDrive.

Set expiration date lets you set a date for the link to expire. After the date you set, the link won't work anymore and you will need to create a new link for users requiring access to your file or folder.

Set password letsyou set a password to access the file. When a user clicks the link, they will be prompted to enter a password before they can access the file. You'll need to provide this password separately to anyone you want to share the file with.

You can also set editing permissions on the previous screen. Under Send link, next to the Name, group or email field, select the pencil icon to change the editing permissions for the people or groups you have entered.

Box Drive is a productivity tool that streams all your content from Box, right to your desktop, taking up very little hard drive space. Open your Windows Explorer or Mac Finder to find every file you need and see all your changes saved up to Box from your desktop. If you want to have specific folders available for offline use, Box Drive will allow you to mark folders for offline access specific to each device you use.

After a user inserts a hyperlink to a file residing on a network mapped drive within an Office product, the hyperlink's text displays the network mapped drive path, however the link is resolved as the UNC path.

For example, in Excel if you go to Insert, and then click on Hyperlink the user is prompted to select the file. If the user navigates to a file residing on a Network Mapped Drive, and inserts a hyperlink to that file, the hyperlink will be created to the file via its UNC path instead of its network mapped drive path. After the link has been inserted, the user can then hover over the link and see that the full UNC path has been used when creating the link to the file.

The cause is due to the way Office creates hyperlinks to files. Office products will create links to files using the UNC path and will not use the network mapped drive location, even if it displays it in the hyperlink text.

There is no resolution for this. Microsoft recommends that users insert hyperlinks using the UNC path to prevent confusion in cases where opening a file via UNC or network mapped drive might make a difference in the expected behavior in the file.

Google is applying a security update in Google Drive to make sharing links more secure. This update will change links (URLs) used for some Drive files shared in November 2017 and prior. Individuals may be impacted when trying to view these files on websites (public or internal), or posted elsewhere.

On July 26, 2021, Google will send direct email notifications only to CU Boulder users who own or manage files impacted by this security update. The email will provide instructions on steps to take and will include a link to view a list of impacted files you own or manage in Google Drive (My Drive/Shared Drive).

It is recommended to follow the instructions to view and take action on your affected Google Drive files. You will need to share a new updated link (URLs) for any of your files that still need to be accessible with a link, on websites or posted elsewhere.

When these users try to access the files via a link, they will be presented with a page to request access. The owner (My Drive) or manager (Shared Drive) of the file will get an email asking for approval. To reduce the number of access requests it is recommended you update links (URLs) you have distributed on websites or posted elsewhere.

Only non-native Google files (e.g. Microsoft Word, PDFs, etc.) shared prior to November 2017 will be affected by this security update. Google files (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) will not be impacted. The email sent by Google will include a link to view a list of impacted files you own or manage in Google Drive (My Drive/Shared Drive).

Due to building issues, Secretary of State offices in Clinton Township and on Executive Court in Lansing are closed for the rest of the day. A new, redesigned driver's license and state ID with enhanced security features will be available beginning mid to late January 2024. Residents will receive the new license or ID if they are applying for their first card or renewing/replacing their current card in the new year.

Because SAVE is a federal program, it does not always work at the speed we would like it to, nor does it leave much room for our intervention. In some cases, congressional offices can submit a special request to expediate review of a SAVE case.

Once you pass Segment 1 and complete the required supervised practice hours, visit a Secretary of State office to apply for your Level 1 learner's license (graduated driver's license). This hard card will be mailed to you.

After holding your Level 1 learner's license for at least six months, passing Segment 2 and completing all required supervised practice hours, you can take the on-road driver skills test. To progress to the Level 2 intermediate license, you must be at least 16 years old, have passed the on-road test and your driving record must be crash- and violation-free 90 days prior to issuance.

If you complete these steps, your graduated driver's license will update automatically in our system as a Level 2 license and you won't need to go back to an office unless other circumstances require it.

To apply for your Michigan license, complete and pass the vision exam and driver knowledge exam at your office visit. You will be issued a paper temporary permit to practice driving with a licensed adult for at least 30 days. A photo will be taken of you but you won't receive a photo license until you pass a driver skills test.

By default, all files and folders in OneDrive on your PC sync to the cloud automatically. To change this, right-click the OneDrive icon on the notification area of the taskbar. From the menu that opens, click Settings. On the next panel, click the Account tab and the Choose folders link. On the next panel, uncheck one or more folders that you want to stop from syncing to the cloud.

You have multiple options for sharing the link to the file or folder and setting restrictions on it, but the defaults and specific options available differ depending on whether you have an individual OneDrive or Microsoft account or one associated with a small business, enterprise, or school. ff782bc1db
