Among the apparent ways of using less electrical energy is to adopt a solar hot water system. No Grid Solar is presently in negotiations with providers of luxury systems that can be installed for about 2 thirds of existing prices and these products will be available from July 2020.
There are two competing technologies:
1. Thermal solar panels with tanks either on roofing or on ground. This technology has been around and fine-tuned for a number of decades however does not work well in cooler environments needing to be boosted by an element inside the tank when the ambient air temperature is not adequate to warm the water to the required temperature.
2. Evacuated gas is a superior innovation and works remarkably well in cooler environments as the ambient air temperature does not have to be as high to accomplish the very same performance as thermal panels. It's most significant disadvantage is that it probably works too well in hotter environments so that water can quickly boil on the roofing.
