The Gates Cambridge Scholarship 2025 is a prestigious and fully funded scholarship for Master’s and Ph.D. students from outside the UK, aimed at fostering academic excellence and global leadership. Program Overview

Each year, the Gates Cambridge program selects 80 talented students from all over the world, providing them with the opportunity to undertake their studies at one of the world's leading academic institutions. Since its inception, more than 2,000 scholarships have been awarded to students from over 100 countries, creating a diverse and collaborative community of future leaders.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of any country outside the UK.

• Apply for a full-time postgraduate degree (Ph.D., MSc, MLitt, or a one-year Master’s course) at the University of Cambridge.

• Demonstrate exceptional academic ability, leadership potential, and a commitment to improving the lives of others.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge, along with several additional allowances:

• University Composition Fee

• Annual maintenance allowance of £21,000

• One-time economy airfare to and from the UK

• Visa costs and Immigration Health Surcharge

• Additional academic development grants ranging from £500 to £2,000

• Family allowances of up to £11,604 for one child and £16,548 for two or more children

• Funding for fieldwork, maternity/paternity leave, and hardship support in case of unforeseen difficulties

How to Apply

The application process requires students to:

1. Apply online via the Cambridge Graduate Application Portal.

2. Select their course and college, and complete the Gates Cambridge section in the funding application.

3. Submit required documents, including:

   • Personal statement (up to 3,000 characters)

   • Research proposal (for Ph.D. applicants)

   • Three reference letters

Application Deadlines

• US applicants: October 16, 2024

• International applicants: December 3, 2024, or January 7, 2025, depending on the course.
