Core Unit

The Core Unit comprises basic tools for conducting chemical experiments. This Work Package describes the building of the Core Unit and its basic operations.

Chemical experiments generally involve measuring fluids and masses, and controlling temperature. The Core Unit provides 3 syringe pumps, a gram scale, a temperature sensor, a heating element, and a frame. It is built from 3D-printed parts, laser cut parts, a Raspberry Pi Pico W micro processor, electronic components, fluid components, a load cell scale, a temperature sensor, and heating element,
