Michael Morey is a Senior Principal Engineer - Cyber at Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI), where he acts as the senior test team lead for an operational penetration testing team. Before joining FTI in 2017, Mr. Morey worked for Jacobs (formerly Tech Team and RL Phillips) for 17 years as Senior Principal Engineer – Cyber, supporting commercial and government customers in designing, testing, and implementing secure systems and networks. Mr. Morey worked for Smartronix as a Senior Network Security Engineer, where he planned and executed the USMC’s Global VPN mesh. Before Smartronix, Mr. Morey spent 10+ years working for the US Navy at their RDT&E lab in San Diego and later at the US Navy’s InfoSec Office at SPAWAR Headquarters. He’s co-authored several reports while working in the security field for the US Navy. He was a founding member of the DON CIO Wireless Working Group, investigating Enterprise Mobility, and has presented and instructed in the wireless/security field.
Matthew Umphlet is a proud ODU graduate, earning his B.S. and Master's in Cybersecurity in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Matthew is a Security Operations Lead at Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA). He has extensive information technology experience, and a passion for emerging cybersecurity professionals.
Tara Noble is an IT Specialist (INFO SEC) for NIWC-LANT with 21 Years of IT Experience, 12 years affiliated with the federal government, 3 years in the private sector, and 6 years with state government. She holds a BS in Psychology and an MS in CyberSecurity/IT Management. She has specialized experience in Policy and Planning, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Systems Analysis, Applications Software, Operating Systems, Data Management, Systems Administration, and Customer Support. Currently, she provides expert consultation in project activities, which include formulating studies of network usability and accessibility requirements, hardware/software requirements, developing technical configurations and cost analysis, participating in long-range activities focusing on acquisition strategy, Information Assurance, and engineering.
