Gallery - Photo Gallery, Album App is designed to help you organize and manage your photos and videos on your device. We aim to collect only the data necessary to provide and improve our services.
a. Information You Provide (Optional, with Consent): While our primary function is offline device management, certain optional features might require you to provide information:
Feedback/Support Information: If you contact us for support or provide feedback, you may provide your email address and the content of your communication.
Opt-in Features: Should we introduce features requiring personal data (e.g., cloud backup requiring account creation), we will clearly inform you and obtain explicit consent before collection.
b. Information Collected Automatically:
Device Information: We may collect non-identifying device information such as your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID), and mobile network information. This helps us optimize app performance and compatibility.
App Usage Data: We collect anonymous and aggregated data about how you interact with our App, such as features used, screens visited, and app crashes. This data helps us understand user behavior, identify bugs, and improve the App's functionality and user experience.
Photos and Videos (On-Device Processing): The App accesses your photos and videos stored on your device to display them within the gallery, enable editing, organization, and other core functionalities. All processing of your photos and videos for these core functionalities occurs locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
c. We DO NOT Collect Personal Identification Information: Unless explicitly provided by you for specific opt-in features (as described above), we do not collect personal identification information such as your name, email address, contacts, precise location data (GPS), or phone number.
We use the information we collect primarily to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services.
To Provide App Functionality: Your photos and videos are accessed and processed locally on your device to enable you to view, organize, edit, and manage them within the App.
To Improve User Experience: Device information and anonymous app usage data help us understand how the App is used, identify areas for improvement, and optimize performance across various devices.
For Analytics and Research: We analyze aggregated, anonymized data to understand user trends, debug issues, and plan new features.
For Communication: If you contact us for support, we may use your provided contact information to respond to your inquiries.
To Maintain App Security: We use information to detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity and to ensure the security of our services.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your photo/video data to any third party.
Local Data: Your photos and videos are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your photo and video content on our servers.
Server Data: Any limited usage data or feedback information collected is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption (where appropriate), access controls, and regular security reviews, to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data Retention: Anonymous usage data is retained only as long as necessary for analytics and improvement purposes. If you provide feedback or support inquiries via email, your email communication will be retained as per standard email retention policies for support purposes.
We value your privacy and limit the sharing of your information.
Anonymous and Aggregated Data: We may share anonymized and aggregated usage data with third-party service providers (e.g., crash analytics tools like Firebase Crashlytics) to help us analyze app performance, identify bugs, and improve the App. This data does not identify you personally.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.

The Gallery - Smart Gallery App requires certain permissions to function correctly:
Storage / Photos & Videos Access: This permission is essential for the App to read your photos and videos from your device's storage and to save any edited photos or videos back to your device. We only access these files locally on your device for the purpose of displaying and managing them within the App.
Internet Access: This permission may be used for:
Fetching basic configuration updates.
Sending anonymous crash reports and usage analytics.
(If applicable, depending on future features) Facilitating optional features like cloud backup or online sharing, which would require explicit user consent.
These permissions are used solely for features directly related to the gallery and photo/video management process within the App and for app improvement purposes.
Gallery Lock - Hide Photo & Video
Secure your private photos and videos with Gallery Lock. This feature allows you to hide sensitive content in a protected vault with a PIN or password. Keep your memories safe and private, away from prying eyes. Easy to use and reliable for safeguarding personal files. For Android 11 users, "All Files Access" permission is required to ensure features like file encryption and management.
To use features like file encryption and management correctly, Android 11 users need to enable MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
The Gallery App does not use cookies for tracking user activity or collecting personal data. We rely on anonymized usage data collected through secure analytics tools to understand app performance and usage patterns.
Depending on your location and applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have certain rights regarding your data:
Access to Your Data: You have the right to request access to any personal data we may hold about you.
Deletion of Your Data: You may request the deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Please note that since most of your data (photos/videos) is stored locally on your device, you control its deletion directly through your device's file management.
