Our laboratory is dedicated to uncovering the complex physiological mechanisms of the ocular system, with a primary focus on the interaction between Retinal Glia and Ocular Immunology using Advanced Optics. By bridging the gap between basic medical science and clinical application, we strive to provide innovative solutions for vision-threatening diseases. 

With an enthusiasm in ocular immunology and bioimaging field, we have been mainly working on investigating clearance systems of the posterior eye with atypical lymphatics, deciphering mysteries of the CNS border associated retinal microglia choroidal macrophage, and developing novel types of Biomedical Optical Systems. Unlocking the mysteries of a specialized immune system ”in the Retina and choroid” by visualizing dynamics and analyzing molecular biological methods is always exciting and inspiring me to devote creativity and passion toward fully understanding ocular immunology and ultimately curing ophthalmologic patients.
