Is tutoring really free?
Yes, always; for every student, every session.
What grades do you support?
Currently K–8. We're hoping to expand as we grow.
How long until I'm matched with a tutor?
Typically within 3-5 days.
What subjects are available?
It depends on our current volunteer tutors, but usually math, English, and general homework help.
Do sessions happen in person or online?
Whatever works best for your family: in person, video call, or a public space like a library.

Do I need tutoring experience?
No — just reliability and patience. If you're confident in a subject, that's enough.
How much time do I need to commit?
About one hour a week, for as long as works for your schedule.
Can I tutor more than one student?
Yes, if you have the availability — just let us know when you sign up.
Does this count for community service hours?
Yes! We're happy to verify hours for school or organization requirements — just reach out.

How is OC Tutor Connect funded?
Right now, we're entirely volunteer-run with no funding; every match happens because of people generously giving their time. Eventually we will host fundraiser events for our program.
