Unit 1 - Global Prehistory
Global Prehistory Notes Set
The template at right includes an image and the title of each of the 11 Global Prehistory AP artworks. Using the articles provided on Khan Academy (you only have to read the articles that have the names of the artworks mentioned), take notes on each of the 11 artworks, being sure to include all of the following information for each work:
Region of origin, date of creation, and materials/media
The work's imagery/iconography (who/what is being shown, or who/what do experts think is being shown?)
Relevant contextual evidence about the work (what important tools/items were found in close proximity to the work, information about the people/community that produced the work, the climate and/or civilization history of the region, etc.)
Information on how the work was made (the process[es] involved in its creation) and its possible function (why it was made). For works in this unit, you can list one or more theories for each work's function.
