Welcome to about!
As you can guess, this page will help you learn what we're all about. Simply put, we're all about worship God through our creative gifts. Oceansdeep worship is an ongoing journey into worship, music and the creative arts that began with Jamie & Jessica before the turn of the millennia.

Jamie grew up the oldest son in a military family (USAF). After many moves (three schools in 1st grade), transitions (four different colleges), changes (staff worship leader/pastor at four churches), and careers (percussionist, guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer, studio owner, business owner, touring/recording artist, pastor & teacher); he now enjoys the simple life of teaching music and raising two beautiful girls (Emily & Hannah) with Jessica (his lovely bride of 21 years).
Educational and professional accolades include: Master's degree in Classical Composition (1997) from OCU, Percussionist for OKC Philharmonic (1993-1998), Nashville recording project (2003) with award winning Producer Alan Shacklock, Worship Leader and Worship Pastor for 20+ years, Music Teacher for 20+ years, completion of several hundred original songs and instrumental pieces.
On a warm February morning in Fort Worth, Texas, a little girl was born. Throughout her early years, when she wasn't climbing trees, she sang and danced her way through life. At the age of 6, she asked for a guitar for Christmas. Upon opening her gift of a plastic “play” guitar, she announced that what she had really meant was a violin!
And so it began... Jessica grew up a “Suzuki Kid”, playing and performing throughout all of her schooling years. By high school, she was in the choir, show choir, theater, school musicals and was a high stepping Dixie Bell (Richland drill team). Her love of music and the arts became her pursuit in college, from performing in musicals, operas, choir concerts and recitals to playing violin in the University Orchestra.
After college, she married a tall, dark musician and began the adventure of a lifetime! Jessica and her husband have spent the last 21 years making music together in ministry with their two teenage daughters, Emily and Hannah. Jessica currently teaches elementary music as well as violin at Grapevine Faith Christian School.
Jessica holds a Master's of Music in Musical Theatre (1997) from Oklahoma City University. She is also a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, a member of the North Texas Suzuki Association and holds an EC12-Music TEA certification.

Professor Howard Stevenson of Harvard Business School beautifully defined entrepreneurship as "the pursuit of opportunity beyond resources controlled." This strikes me as a great jumping off point for exploring Kingdom-minded creativity. Here are a few thoughts worth considering.
As sons and daughters of God, the Original Creator, we embark on brilliant, majestic and noble acts of worship by exercising our creative art and gifts.
