Ocean of PDF (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used. By using Ocean of PDF, you agree to this Policy.
Ocean of PDF does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal identity information such as your name, email address, phone number, or payment details for core use.
The App may store the following locally on your device:
Favorite books
Reading history and last reading position
Bookmarks
Download records (if used)
App preferences (such as theme, font size, reading theme, and notification settings)
Optional profile display name / profile image you choose to set
This information is stored using on-device storage technologies (including Room database and DataStore) and remains on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the App.
We do not intentionally collect:
Precise location
Contacts
Photos or media (except a profile image you optionally select)
Payment information
Advertising IDs for personalized ads (no ads SDK is bundled by default)
Locally stored information is used only to provide App features, including:
Saving favorites and reading progress
Continuing reading where you left off
Applying your display and reading preferences
Improving your offline library experience
The App’s primary original book catalog works offline. The App may use internet access for:
Network connectivity checks
Optional future catalog or content updates
System-level functions required by Android
When network requests are made, standard technical data (such as IP address and device/network metadata) may be processed by your network provider or destination servers according to their own policies.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your reading history, favorites, or preferences with third parties for advertising.
Because core library data is stored locally, it is not uploaded to our servers as part of normal App use.
The App does not bundle crash analytics or advertising SDKs by default. If third-party services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those services are enabled.
Local data remains on your device until you:
Clear cache/data from App Settings or Android system settings, or
Uninstall the App
Ocean of PDF may include children’s book categories for general reading. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We take reasonable steps to protect information stored by the App on your device. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Please keep your device protected with a lock screen and up-to-date software.
You can:
Use the App without creating an account
Change theme, font size, and reading preferences in Settings
Clear cache from Settings
Revoke notification permission in Android system settings
Uninstall the App at any time to remove local App data
The App is designed for global use. Local data is processed on your device in your location.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
