Currently, Sunho Park is a Professor in the Department of Ocean Engineering at Korea Maritime & Ocean University. His primary research interests center on ocean engineering, with a specific focus on multi-physics problems, such as fluid-structure, fluid-ice, and fluid-soil interactions, as well as renewable energy platforms.

He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Inha University (2000) and an M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University (2002). Between 2002 and 2010, he specialized in the design and research of special and merchant ships at Hanjin Heavy Industries. After earning his Ph.D. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Seoul National University in 2013, he joined the faculty at Korea Maritime & Ocean University. He served as Dean of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering from March 2023 to February 2025
