Refunds: Full refunds available until 11:59pm 26 March 2026. Refunds after that date are at the organiser's discretion.
By entering, players accept the regulations and venue requirements including collection of information as outlined by the the privacy statement (see Regulations), and consent to photos and videos being taken of them and used for publicity purposes.

Player are entitled to enter if they are registered with FIDE with an Oceania National Chess Federations (Zone 3.6 federations) or associated members. Players must not have reached their respective age group birthday before 1 January 2026. There is no required rating limit to play.
Official players have free entry and shared accommodation provided as noted below and should be entered by their federations. Official players who enter and are later entered by their federations will have their entry fee refunded.
New Zealand players (must be a New Zealand citizen or have a residence class visa) will have a FIDE ID issued where they do not have one. Players from all other countries/federations who do not have a FIDE ID must obtain one from their national federation prior to entering.

Each federation or associate FIDE member may enter two (2) official players in each age group division, being one (1) player in the open section and one (1) female player in the girls' section, for a maximum total of 14 official players.
Official players will not be charged an entry fee as noted above (registration fee of NZ$90 per player is still payable) and are also entitled to shared accommodation (room only - meals not included) at the official event hotel, Hotel Give from 2pm 8 April (arrival) to 10am 14 April (check out). NB: official New Zealand players will not be eligible for accommodation but will be eligible for the waived entry fee.
Federations will be sent a registration form for official players. Shared accommodation will also be provided for one (1) Head of Delegation with each team.Â
Any upgrades, additional nights, accompanying persons etc. are subject to availability and paying costs incurred.
The Oceania Youth Chess Championships are title tournaments. When there are 4 federations in a division/section there will be direct titles. Please see more information about direct titles in the regulations
