INTRODUCTION
According to the United Nations CLIMATE CHANGE is defined as:
"long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle. But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas."

ABOUT THE TOPIC
Global Warming is probably the most talked about topic in climate change. However, this site is less focused on the rise in temperature or the melting of glaciers.
The purpose of this website is to explore the specific causes and effects of ocean acidification
--but is important to note that the causes of global warming and ocean acidification are mostly the same and are due to the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
