Bust Pollution. Save the Ocean!
In our first-ever virtual panel, "Sustainability," Ocean Busters brought together four inspiring speakers from diverse backgrounds to share their insights, tips, and initiatives for a more sustainable future.
Each speaker presented actionable ways young people can reduce their environmental footprint and get involved in climate and ocean advocacy. From launching local cleanups to starting eco-businesses, the panel sparked powerful conversations and left attendees energized to take action in their communities.
This event marked the beginning of our ongoing efforts to amplify youth voices and create spaces for learning, collaboration, and change.
Check out our recent Youth & Climate webinar! We shared our experiences and advice as young people fighting against climate change.
Hosted by Everything Starts Small and Inspirate, the webinar featured presentations from these organizations and Ocean Busters. They discussed their work, organizational experiences, and large-scale projects. We also welcomed guest speakers, including Sophia Kianni (the youngest UN advisor from the US), Lourdes Diaz (a key member of Y.E.P.I.), and Renesmee Chen (from TWYCC, Taiwan's first youth environmental NGO), to answer questions and share their insights.
Welcome to the Nature's Story Competition, hosted by Ocean Busters and Ark Review. We encourage you to find inspiration for your topic and submit your essay for a chance to win a $20 e-gift card! This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent and skill to the world. Winning pieces will be published in Ark Review, though all submissions will be considered for publication.
Two workshops were also conducted on December 27 and December 28, 2023, from 2:00-3:00pm EST / 11:00-12:00pm PST.

Our second virtual panel, "Art for Earth," explored the powerful connection between art and environmental conservation — and how creativity can inspire real-world change.
The event featured Jasper, an environmental artist known for transforming waste and natural materials into stunning works that highlight the beauty and fragility of our planet. We were also joined by the Youth Oceanic Initiative, a student-led organization that uses creative expression to raise awareness about ocean pollution and climate change.
Together, the panelists shared how art can be a tool for activism, education, and healing — showing that when science and creativity unite, we can spark movements and shift perspectives.
