Therefore Money is not my main motivator. Having fun while perfecting my craft IS. Towards that end, I DJ as a form of communication between myself and the audience. I send them energy through the sound system and they send it back through their dance. I DJ without headphones and without the sync button with music that I am not very familiar with, ON PURPOSE.

Headphones allow the DJ to go off into the future to prepare what you, the audience, will hear next. My objective with OCDJ is for the DJ to stay in the moment for the entire set, along with the dancer, so that we hear the same thing at the same time, together. When there is no time delay between the artists creation and the observers observation, energy can be transferred in real time, creating a unique performane each and every time.

I have taught myself to perform free from convention without concern for musical bounderies. I have done this by learning and observing the parameters in which music is created so that I may walk outside of those bounderies with understanding and without fear.
