The OC-DDC papers are about personal projects, so please note that the submission should be single-authored (supervisors can be mentioned in the acknowledgements). The paper should motivate the PhD project and describe the relation to OC (e.g., based on https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-68477-2 or https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.1701.08125). Additionally, the paper should outline key research questions driving the doctoral project and describe the general approach or methodology used to address them. Therefore, providing sufficient foundational information is essential to help readers understand the context.
After the OC-DDC, each participant will be invited to prepare a book chapter for an edited book. The book chapter will contain approx. 14 pages. For instance, the book of the DDC's 2024 edition. The book chapter should extend the initially submitted abstract by discussing the current state of the doctoral research, such as progress made, any preliminary findings, or ongoing challenges.
