Welcome to the Oakland County 4-H Sport Rocket Club!
About the Club
The Club is the Aerospace Chapter of Oakland County 4-H, focusing on model rocket design and construction, STEM education, and career development in science and engineering. The Club is open to youth ages 8-19. Members must join 4-H (for free) and remain in good standing with 4-H bylaws.
In the Club, youth learn to build model rocket kits, then progress toward constructing their own designs with the aid of rocket design software (OpenRocket). The Club also covers aerospace engineering concepts such as aerodynamics, flight controls, and the physics of rocket flight.
There are no membership fees; however, materials to build and fly rockets must be purchased. The Club sells rocket kits and launch supplies at competitive prices.
