Hair tinsel is surprisingly durable and doesn't require a lot of extra care.
Avoid brushing or combing directly on the bead.
If you style with heat, use lower-heat settings on the tinsel. There are different types of tinsel, so it's good to start with lower-heat until you know how the tinsel responds.
You can wash your hair normally, and you can sleep with the tinsel in.
When you are ready to remove the tinsel, watch my video below.
USING YOUR CLIP-IN TINSEL
Take your clip and bend it so it snaps open.
Flip some hair up, bend the clip so it snaps closed, attaching to your hair near the roots. Then, flip your hair back over the clip to hide the clip.
Trim long ends as needed with scissors.
CARING FOR YOUR CLIP-IN TINSEL
If you want to use heat on it, use low heat to start and see how the tinsel responds, especially if your clip contains fluorescent tinsel strands–the ones that have a blue/green tint to them. The florescent/iridescent strands are more heat-sensitive, while the shiny or sparkly tinsels can usually handle more heat. Always start with low heat!
