The observatory houses a 24-inch Cassegrain telescope with an unvignetted field of view of 24 arcminutes in diameter. The telescope is protected by an Ash Dome, capable of rotating 360°.
The stunning imagery captured by Mees allows students at the University of Rochester to venture deep into the cosmos and inspect galactic structures first-hand.
