The SAC is a confidential counselor in the school providing prevention and intervention supports for non-academic issues such as social-emotional, mental health and developmental needs. The SAC provides individual counseling, group counseling, classroom lessons and supports schoolwide initiatives. The SAC has specialty training in substance abuse prevention and intervention.
Guidance/school counselors support the academic, career and social-emotional development of students. They work with students individually, in small groups, through classroom lessons and schoolwide initiatives to enhance outcomes for all students to reach their full potential.
