Bay Beach Memorial / Commemorative Walk / Brick Path

We want to thank our OBP community and Business Owners for their support in this endeavor! Together we have raised over $40,000 which have funded past and upcoming OBP infrastructure projects!

** Note all orders placed in 2025 will be installed for the SUMMER of 2026! **

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your submissions and orders for the brick project.

For the 2024 year we have raised close to $18,000 of which will go to the projects suggested and voted on below! As mentioned at the August 2024 OBPA meeting, your participation and votes have made a significant impact, and we are grateful for your support.

We are pleased to announce that all four projects discussed will be moving forward, ranked by priority based on your voting results.

Solar lit 4×4 posts to illuminate the wooden path from Ferry to Bayview. Consistent with the Commemorative Walkway. Came in 1st with the most votes!
Four Garbage Bins along Bayview (2nd Most Votes)
Ocean Bay Park (at Bayview Entrance Area Beautification (Tied for 3rd)
Walkway Benches on beach overpass (Tied for 3rd)

The goal is to have these projects completed before the summer months of 2025. Currently, we are in the process of developing project management planning and timing to ensure everything runs smoothly. Once again, thank you for being an active part of our community and for your continued support.

Hello OBPA Community Members!

The Ocean Bay Park Bay Beach Commemorative Garden Project will entail the reconstruction of the Bay Beach walkway replacing the existing wooden boardwalk with pavers / bricks and putting in place a process to allow community members to purchase personalized commemorative bricks. Through the support of our community and charitable businesses, we have an opportunity to enhance our park and drive a perpetual fundraising mechanism for future OBPA infrastructure improvements

Some brick message ideas and guidelines:

Engraving spaces are as follows— Small brick: maximum of three lines; maximum of 18 characters per line
Text will be all UPPERCASE in a standard font/size
Message will be centered horizontally and vertically
No obscenities or profanities or anything that could be construed as such
No derogatory message regarding any individual or entity
No political messages
No advertisements or gimmicks
