Welcome to Objection of the Week!
Every week, on sunday, there will be a new scenario an you will have to identify the best objection.
Directions:
Read the witness conversation and choose the best objection.
These are the options: Relevance, More Prejudicial than Probative, Speculation, Lack of Foundation, Hearsay, Lack of Personal Knowledge, Improper Character Evidence
Scenario for this Week:
The attorney asks, "Did you see something when you were in the kitchen!"
The witness states, "I think I saw James (the defendant) running out of the hallway."
What objection is this an example of?
This is an example of speculation because the witness is speculating that the person they saw running in the hallway was the defendant. They are assuming.
