If you want glove-friendly controls, long standby and hands-free solo riding for nurses, choose OBEST Motorcycle Helmet; if you need rider-to-rider intercom and two-phone connectivity, choose G G-WEI MX1. OBEST is the more focused pick for navigation, calls and music on a solo commute, while the MX1 makes more sense when staying in touch with another rider matters most.
• OBEST Motorcycle Helmet: Its 18-hour continuous call time, 300-hour standby and raised controls are useful strengths; its feature set is centered on solo riding rather than a stated rider-to-rider intercom.
• G G-WEI MX1: Its intercom supports communication between riders up to 800 m, and it can connect to two smartphones; its stated standby time is 200 hours, shorter than OBEST’s.
• Best fit for OBEST: Solo riders who want voice navigation, call handling, music and controls designed for gloves.
• Best fit for G G-WEI MX1: Riders who travel with someone and want an intercom, or who switch between two connected phones.
• Both list IPX6 water resistance and noise-reduction features, but their standout advantages serve different routines.
OBEST is built around hands-free solo riding. It supports Bluetooth 5.0, GPS voice navigation, voice-assistant control, automatic call answering or rejection, and music playback. The combination is useful for a daily commute: navigation can speak directions, and a rider can handle a call without needing to reach for a phone. The headset is described as fitting full-face, open-face and half-face helmets, as well as ski helmets.
The controls are a practical part of the pitch. Raised, non-slip buttons are designed to be operated with riding gloves, so adjusting volume or switching tracks does not depend on bare fingers. OBEST also lists DSP noise cancellation and Hi-Fi stereo speakers, plus an IPX6 waterproof rating. Those features make it the more compelling option for someone who wants one headset to cover calls, directions and listening in changing outdoor conditions.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.

The MX1’s defining feature is its Bluetooth intercom, which supports conversation between riders up to 800 m. That makes it the natural choice for paired rides when a quick spoken exchange is more useful than stopping to use a phone. It also supports voice dialing and automatic call answering, bringing hands-free call handling into the same riding setup.
A second clear advantage is its ability to connect to two smartphones simultaneously, allowing quick switching between their audio and calls. The MX1 also has glove-friendly button operation, IPX6 water resistance, A2DP stereo music and noise reduction intended to lower wind and road noise. Its listed battery life is 20 hours of continuous working time and 200 hours of standby, with a two-hour charge through a Type-C port.
I’d choose the MX1 for riders who regularly travel together or need to keep two phones connected. The open-ear design may also suit someone who prefers that style, though the data does not establish how it will feel inside any particular helmet. It is a less compelling fit if the main priority is OBEST’s longer stated standby time or its specifically listed GPS voice navigation and voice-assistant control. For a nurse weighing a gaming headset for nurses or the best noise canceling wireless earbuds for nurses, neither product is described as a work or gaming headset; their stated purpose is motorcycle riding.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for solo riding and spoken GPS directions → OBEST Motorcycle Helmet. GPS voice navigation and voice-assistant control are specifically listed.
• Best for rider-to-rider conversation → G G-WEI MX1. Its intercom supports communication between riders up to 800 m.
• Best for longer standby → OBEST Motorcycle Helmet. It lists 300 hours, compared with 200 hours for the MX1.
• Best for two connected phones → G G-WEI MX1. It supports simultaneous connection to two smartphones and quick switching.
• Best for controls designed around gloves → OBEST Motorcycle Helmet. Its raised 3D buttons are specifically described as suited to thick winter riding gloves; the MX1 also has a simple layout suited to gloved use.
• Best for a clearly listed charging connector → G G-WEI MX1. It specifies a Type-C port and a two-hour full charge. OBEST also lists a two-hour charge, but its connector type is not specified.
• Best for a solo rider who wants calls, music and navigation together → OBEST Motorcycle Helmet. The MX1 is more attractive when intercom communication is part of the routine.
Both headsets list IPX6 water resistance and noise-reduction features. Neither specification alone tells me how every helmet fit, riding position or road condition will affect a rider’s experience. I’d base the choice on which communication job matters more: solo navigation and controls, or talking with another rider and switching between phones.
I’d choose OBEST Motorcycle Helmet for a nurse commuting solo by motorcycle. Its navigation and voice-assistant features, glove-oriented raised buttons and 300-hour standby make a focused everyday combination. The MX1 is the better call for group rides, but intercom is not my deciding need here. For this nurse-focused use case, OBEST is my pick.
The G G-WEI MX1 is the clear fit for that need: it lists a built-in intercom with a range of up to 800 m. OBEST’s listed features cover calls, navigation, music and voice-assistant control, but do not specify rider-to-rider intercom.
OBEST lists 300 hours of standby and 18 hours of continuous call time. The MX1 lists 200 hours of standby and 20 hours of continuous working time. Since the continuous-use descriptions differ, compare those figures with care.
The MX1 explicitly supports simultaneous connections to two smartphones, with quick switching between calls and audio. OBEST’s listed details do not state that it supports two-phone connections.
Their stated use is motorcycle riding, not general workplace listening. They offer riding-focused features such as hands-free calls, and OBEST specifically lists GPS voice navigation; neither product’s listed information establishes suitability as a work or gaming headset.
