Michael Oberfichtner

I am head of the research department "Establishments and Employment" at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg, Germany, and professor for employment research (Betriebliche Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung) at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg.

My research focuses on monopsonistic labour markets, gender and family economics and policy evaluation using field experiments. 

I am also a research fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA), an associate at the Labor and Socio-Economic Research Center (LASER), and member of the Standing Field Committees Social Policy and Population Economics of the Verein für Socialpolitik.
