About Us

Overstock Builder's Depot opened in June of 2011. In April of 2022 the store was relocated to 2516 E. Sprague in the old Best Buy Surplus building. The store changed ownership at that time and changed the name to Overstock Builders Surplus to utilize the iconic vintage neon sign presently at the property which says 'Surplus'. Owner Doug Miller is a native to Spokane with many ties to the community. Hi, thats me! My goal is to have a place where people can actually afford to purchase materials and items to improve their lives. By keeping overhead down, getting good deals, along with generous contributions of good reuseable building materials we can do that. The inventory at OBS is ever changing and very eclectic. If we can find a good deal, we will bring it in to the store.

While OBS focuses on discount building materials such as doors, windows, tile and moulding, you can find most anything in the store from hand crafted wood furniture to vintage yard art materials.

We try and have prices on everything but our turnover is so rapid that sometimes we dont have time to price stuff. If that is the case with something you have interest in please inquire about it. Everything in the store is for sale. You'll never hear 'oh thats not for sale'!
