Welcome! I am a Political Science Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi.
My research interests are in international political economy and public opinion, with a regional focus on South Asia. I study the politics of foreign aid delivery tactics and its impact on aid-receiving countries. Other topics that motivate my research interest relate to political representation and human development. My research is published in International Interactions, World Development, and Global Studies Quarterly.
My teaching interests include international relations, comparative politics, political methods, international political economy, public opinion, and political behavior.
In my dissertation, Adding Fuel to the Flames? Foreign Aid Delivery Channels and Political Support, I use primary data from an original survey in Bangladesh and secondary data on public opinion to examine recipient citizens' views on foreign aid delivery channels and political support in aid-receiving countries.
I also enjoy communicating my research to a broad audience. I am the Grand Prize Winner of the 2018 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition at the University of Mississippi. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a researcher at the Centre for Policy Dialogue, a leading think-tank in South Asia. I am serving as a non-resident Politics and Governance Fellow at the Youth Policy Forum, a Bangladesh-based platform to educate and involve young Bangladeshis in effective policy-making and implementation.
