Kyle Sousa is a Biology & Chemistry teacher at Oliver Ames, as well as the head coach of the Cross Country program. Sousa worked within the indoor and outdoor track programs as an assistant for eleven years. In 2019, Sousa took over the position of head coach positions for Boys & Girls Indoor Track and Girls Outdoor Track team
Kyle's competitive experience is in the long distance events, and includes personal bests of 15:32 for 5000m, 1:10:40 for half-marathon, and a 2014 NYC Marathon performance of 2:36:52 (72nd place, 28th American)
Kyle holds USATF coaching certifications at Level 1 (all events) and Level 2 (middle and long distance)
Olivier Ndikumana (“Ollie”) graduated Bridgewater State with a bachelors in Psychology and is now a Behavior Technician at Bierman ABA in Needham, MA. He joined the OATF coaching staff in 2021. Ndikumana also worked as a summer camp director/ counselor and Afterschool counselor for 8 years in Amherst Ma, through LSSE. Ollie’s athletic path started with soccer, which he played up until college where he decided to pursue a new sport, track and field.
Olivier Ndikumana competed in track and field for Bridgewater State University and became captain his final year. He had numerous accomplishments in his 4 years despite seeing his final season cut short due to covid-19. He was an all around athlete competing in the 200,400,400H,Triple Jump,Long Jump,High jump. Sometimes doing 3-5 events each meet. He was on 3 4x400m relay MASCAC Championship teams. He also qualified for D3 New Englands 5 times out of 6 in Triple Jump with a season best of 13.46 (44’2”). He also has personal best of 23.14 for 200m, 51.06 for 400m, 57.79 for 400H, 6’2” for HJ, 6.23 (20’5.25”) for long jump.
Jadin Bruneau is a graduate of Taunton High School and Bridgewater State University, and competed in track and field for both schools. As an athlete, Jadin competed in sprint events.
Jadin joined the OA Coaching staff in 2022-2023 as a sprints specialist.
An OA Alumni, Troy Kent participated in track and field throughout his time at Oliver Ames. Troy graduated UMass Amherst in 2020. Troy has been coaching cross country since 2020 and joined the Track & Field staff in 2023. Troy is currently a Systems Engineer at General Dynamics.
Alicia Thibault was a four-time All State Champion, earning titles in the Triple Jump, 300m Hurdles, and 4x400m relay. Collegiately she competed for Pennsylvania State and earned All East Honors. Alicia coached at Norwell High School for several years, and now lives in Easton. Alicia joined the OA Coaching staff in the winter of 2019.
