Entire family can be present
No stressful travel
Unhurried and private
When the time comes to say goodbye to your pets, the thought of a stressful car ride and waiting in the lobby of an unfamiliar environment can be heartbreaking. Oasis Veterinary Care believes this profound moment deserves to be as peaceful, private, and dignified as possible at the place they are most comfortable; home. Oasis Vet Care in-home euthanasia service allows your pet to transition gently, surrounded by love in the familiar comfort of their own home, avoiding the stress of a clinic visit during their final hours.
Before the appointment
I prioritize your pet's comfort and your family's emotional well-being throughout the entire process.
I encourage you to choose a special, comfortable spot for your pet in your home.
Surrounding them with their favorite blankets, toys, or treats can help create a serene atmosphere.
Preparation
I will give you time to settle in and ask any questions you may have.
I will take care of the permission form and payment at this time.
There is no rush to begin; I will move at whatever pace feels right for you/your family.
Gentle Sedation
A calming sedative is administered to help your pet relax and drift into a peaceful and deep sleep,
free of pain or anxiety.
During this time, you can hold them, pet them and say goodbye.
If desired, memorial items such as a lock of fur can be prepared at this time.
The Passing
When you are ready, a final medication is given.
This allows your pet to pass away peacefully and quickly without pain while you are by their side.
I allow your family time for private grieving and farewells.
Aftercare Options
Many of Okinawan crematories offer reserved private, individual, and communal cremation.
Aftercare costs depend on the size of your pet. See this page.
All my in-home euthanasia appointments include a paw print.
Additional memorialization options are usually available through a crematory.
Ashes are returned to you with reserved private and individual cremations.
