May 2025: Honoured to receive the UEA Inclusivity Champion Award 2025 as part of the Student Union's Transforming Education Awards that also saw our School of Economics take the School of the Year title.

In 2023 I joined the Organising Committee of the Annual Discrimination and Diversity Workshop at the University of East Anglia. 

The  Discrimination and Diversity Workshop was initiated in 2021 by then colleagues Boon Han Koh (currently at the University of Exeter) and Laura Harvey (currently at the Loughborough University).  The workshops brought together high-profile international speakers and excellent junior researchers in a wide range of topics relating to discrimination, equality and inclusion.

The 5th Annual Workshop will take place on 2-3 June 2025.

In conjunction with the 3rd Workshop in 2023, myself and former ECO academics Boon Han Koh (Exeter) and Laura Harvey (Loughborough), with Laura Gee (Tufts) and Ernesto Reuben (NYU Abu Dhabi) co-edited the Special Issue on Discrimination and Diversity at the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (complete version published 2026). 

The issue brings together 28 empirical studies examining discrimination by gender, ethnicity, violence against minorities, and intersecting identities, while also assessing the effectiveness of policies aimed at reducing inequality and promoting diversity.
