App: oak.tech.pingserver · Effective date: June 2026 · Version 1.0
Ping Server ("the App") is developed and maintained by Oak Tech. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring full transparency about how the App operates.
By installing or using Ping Server, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
No personal data collected
Ping Server does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to external servers or third parties.
The only data the App stores is what you manually enter — such as device names, IP addresses, port numbers, usernames, and passwords for your servers, CCTV cameras, and access control systems. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
On-device encryption only
All credentials (usernames, passwords, IP addresses) are encrypted using the Android Keystore system with AES-256 encryption.
Encrypted data is stored locally on your device only.
Credential data is never uploaded to the cloud, our servers, or any third-party service.
If you uninstall the App, all stored data is permanently deleted from your device.
Local network only
All ping requests are executed locally on your device over your local network.
Ping operations communicate only with the IP addresses or hostnames you explicitly enter.
No ping results, IP addresses, or network topology data is transmitted to Oak Tech or any external server.
The App does not monitor, log, or share your network activity.
No data shared with third parties
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The App does not integrate any advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or tracking frameworks.
The App does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any other third-party analytics or advertising service.
INTERNET — required to send ping requests to devices on your local network.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — used to check whether a network connection is available before attempting a ping.
USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT — optional, used only if you enable the biometric app lock feature. No biometric data is accessed or stored by the App.
No other permissions are requested. The App does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or files.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You may:
Edit or delete any saved device credentials directly within the App.
Clear all App data via Android Settings → Apps → Ping Server → Clear Data.
Uninstall the App at any time to permanently remove all stored data.
Ping Server is intended for use by IT professionals, network administrators, and security personnel. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
