Technical core (often referred to as the tech core), is a set of courses that are specific to the pathway. These courses will help students gain the foundational skills needed to be successful in careers in their chosen pathway.
Graduates from the DIT School will:
Develop confidence in problem solving skills through innovation that will transfer to the students’ post secondary plans.
Possess a learner’s mindset to continually improve skills through adaptability along with knowledge of industrial technologies and creative design.
Gain collaboration and communication skills leading to an innovative passion project.
Demonstrate integrity and empathy by showcasing core values to meet the needs of the community.
Students in the School of Design, Innovation, and Technology at Oak Park High School will engage in a high level of learning by exploring a rigorous academic and specialized curriculum. Students will be immersed in an authentic, collaborative, and culminating experience with the ultimate goal of reflecting diversity as part of an innovative workforce in our community.
Graduates from the School of Design, Innovation, and Technology at Oak Park High School will be adaptable and collaborative real world problem solvers. They will use their voice to represent the community they serve and help bring purpose to their work.
