The Socs and the Greasers are rival gangs from the opposite sides of town. The Socs' idea of a good time is cruising around in their flash cars and beating up long-haired Greasers like Ponyboy. Ponyboy knows what to expect and that he can count on his older brothers and other friends - until one night when someone takes thing too far. Ponyboy may seem tough, but on the inside he is running scared ...

On the dusty fields of Zimbabwe, Deo and Innocent are playing football. Then the soldiers arrive, looking for food and traitors - destroying the only home the boys have ever know. Now they have nothing but each other, and a football stuffed with a billion worthless dollars. 

And so starts a journey of a lifetime, to find safety with a father they have never met. But with soldiers everywhere, they have only one chance to cross the border, once chance to escape.
