Oakleaf High School NJROTC Academic team participated in a Brain Brawl at Bishop Kenny High School on Saturday the 22nd of February.
Oakleaf High School NJROTC participates in the Wild Card Drill Competition in Georgia on Saturday, February 1st, 2020.
Oakleaf High School NJROTC partook in the Terry Parker Drill Competition on Saturday January 18th, 2020. THe program dominated the 16x100 and won the first place trophy in the event.
Oakleaf High School NJROTC held their annual Christmas Party, the theme this year was Masquerade. The Unit and their families danced the night away with Platoon Challenges and Best Dressed Competitions.
Oakleaf High School NJROTC was able to tour the NAS JAX VP-30 on November 13th. The cadets enjoyed being able to sit in the aircraft and learn about each section.
Oakleaf High School NJROTC Armed Basic Drill Team participated in a Halloween Parade at Discovery Oaks Elementary School for the students.
NJROTC Senior Cadets participated in the Oakleaf High School Senior Night at the football game. We also had our other cadets holding the 50 state flags for the Ceremonial Flag detail.
Oakleaf High School's NJROTC Senior Cadets were invited to go to Jacksonville University for a military appreciation and a tour of the campus.
On Saturday September 14th 2019 Oakleaf High School NJROTC participated in the Flemming Island High School NJROTC M9 Athletic Competition and came out 1st overall. As well as earning trophies in the other events throughout the meet.
Last night at Oakleaf's last home game of the season ten of our senior cadets participated in senior night to highlight their years in highschool and to tell us about what they plan on doing with their futures. We congragulate C/Lieutenant JG. Zdunich, C/ Ensign Earndhart, C/Ensign Tibbetts, C/Petty Officer First Class Buffkin,C/Petty Officer First Class Braxton, C/Petty Officer Third class Austin, C/Petty Officer Third Class Easton, C/Seaman Apprentice Wertz, and C/Seaman Apprentice Morrison.
Today cadets of Oakleaf High School NJROTC attended the annual Naval Air Station Jacksonville's Airshow. Thannks to the help of Commander Bowman, the father of one of cadets, gave us a special tour into a P8 Posiden and allowed for us to get up close and personel with the Blue Angels!
This week Oakleaf High School NJROTC returned for their second time to Flemming Island High School to compete in their annual Capt 9 Team Challenge meet after dominating last year for their first time. This year the Oakleaf Cadets came 2nd place overall and brought back with them an array of trophs from the different events.
This week the cadets of Oakleaf High School were visited by the Area 12 Area Manager, Commander Hibbard, for their very first Area Manager Inspection. Commander Hibbard expressed his enthusiams for the program and the new cadets as well as hoping to see the progress of the program when he returns next year for another Area Manager Inspection.
Oakleaf High School NJROTC went to their very first area 12 competition at Flemming Island. The other competiting programs welcomed the new program to the competition but did not allow for them to get anything easy. Although we had tough competition we placed first place in almost every event and third in only two events. Overall Oakleaf came in First place.
The 2017-18 School year at Oakleaf High School started with a new program. Through the help of Mrs.Pickett, Oakleaf High School welcomed Master Gunnery Sergeant Jamie L. Willis to lead our new NJROTC program. He as well as our Commanding Officer C/Lieutenant Command Henry and Executive Officer C/Lieutenant Lohman will lead the program throughout the year.
