Funds raised from the Pepper's Foods Gift Card fundraiser go towards the Oaklands Elementary School PAC Accessible Playground Project.

Instructions

Fundraising with Pepper's is as easy as going grocery shopping! 

1. Once you have selected your groceries simply ask any one of the Pepper's cashiers for a new Pepper's gift card or you can reload an old gift card.

2. Gift cards are capable of handling any denomination. Add/refill the gift card with the amount that you feel comfortable with on your card and pay for it before ringing your groceries through.

3. You must tell the cashier at the time of purchase that you are loading the gift card for Oaklands Elementary School. They will track the amount you have loaded onto the card along with the name of our school and the PAC will recieve a 5% credit. If you don't mention our school and they don't track it then your purchase will not contribute to our fundraiser

4. Ring your groceries through and then pay for them with your newly loaded gift card! You didn't spend any extra money on your groceries as 100% of what you loaded onto your gift card goes towards your purchases and Pepper's kindly donates 5% of your gift card total to us!

5. Your part is done! 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• The Pepper's Foods gift cards have no restrictions and are as good as cash. The receipt printed keeps a running balance of the remainder left on your gift card.

• You can refill/add to the gift card at any time.

• The donation from Pepper's is calculated based on the amount placed on the card.

• The gift cards are like cash and are not registered or tracked. If you lose your gift card and it has funds loaded on it then there is no way to retrieve the lost funds. Please note that the PAC and Pepper's are not able to issue refunds for funds on lost gift cards.

The PAC is happy to announce that the bin located at the corner of Lionel St. and Ryan St. directs all proceeds toward supporting our school.

Join Us in Building an Inclusive Playground for the Oaklands Community!

We’re reaching out from the Oaklands Elementary PAC with an exciting and meaningful project that will benefit not just our students, but the entire Oaklands neighbourhood.

Oaklands Elementary and the Oaklands Community Centre share one incredible outdoor space — a place where families gather after school, neighbours meet on weekends, and the community comes alive during events like the Oaklands Sunset Market. However, our current playgrounds are not accessible for many children with mobility challenges. The woodchips are almost impossible to navigate with wheeled mobility aids and the play structures are mostly monkey bars and ladders that are not wheel-friendly! We’re looking forward to adding accessible play structures that will be engaging and inclusive for all of our kiddos.

Our goal is to raise funds for new inclusive and accessible playground equipment — creating a space where all children can play, explore, and have fun!

We’re hoping that you can help make this vision a reality.

This playground will serve generations of children and families — not just students, but everyone who uses the park and community space year-round.
