College Showcase Concert Program

Alexandria Harmon, is a sophomore Dance Studies Major and Business Major at Central Michigan University. During her time at CMU she has performed in the University Theatre Dance Company Concert, performed for the Student Choreography Concert, taken master classes with national and international guest artists, and is a member of the CMU Dance Alliance. Future career ambitions include continuing to teach and pass on her love of dance to others.

Carla Zawadzki is a senior Dance Studies Major as well as Elementary Education Major at Central Michigan University. During her time at CMU, Carla has been a member of the University Theatre Dance Company for their 2021 and 2020 concerts, as well as a touring member of the University Summer Theatre Cast in 2022. In the past, she has also choreographed and performed in the Student Choreography Concert, and recently this summer completed an internship at Eisenhower Dance Detroit under the direction of Stephanie Pizzo. She is currently a teacher at Mount Pleasant School of dance, and in the future hopes to continue teaching and dancing as a member of a touring company.   

Rhiannon Seiser is a junior Biomedical, Cellular and Molecular Major (pre-optometry) and Dance Minor at Central Michigan University. During her time at CMU, she has performed in the University Theatre Dance Company Concert, performed with the Japanese dance company Masashi Action Machine, choreographed and performed for the Student Choreography Concert, taken master classes with national and international guest artists, led dance classes for children through partnerships, and much more. Future career ambitions include attending optometry school to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree

Emma Gibbons is a sophomore Dance Studies Major and Business minor at Central Michigan University. During her time at CMU, she has performed in the University Theatre Dance Company Concert, led dance classes for people with Parkinson’s Disease, choreographed and performed for the Student Choreography Concert, taken master classes with national and international guest artists, and is a member of the CMU Dance Alliance. Her goal is to be able to teach dance at her home studio, striving to make each dancer better every day while creating a family-friendly environment. She wants to share her passion of dance with dancers to inspire them and be role models for them in the dance studio.  

Jaina Barden is a junior Dance Studies Major and Entrepreneurship Minor at Central Michigan University. During her time at CMU she has been a dancer in a dance film, choreographed and performed for the Student Choreography Concert, taken master classes with national and international guest artists, led dance classes for children through partnerships, performed and did technical theater for the summer touring company and much more. Future career ambitions include starting a non-profit for dancers that aims to help lower the costs of dancing and she wants to be a dance teacher.
