Check out M Snake, a math competition run for novice local middle schoolers by local high schoolers, focused on engaging problems and exploration! It will take place on November 12, 2022, at Newton South, and will have Prof. Po Shen Loh, coach of Team USA for the International Math Olympiad, as a guest speaker.

School MATHCOUNTS Competition 2023
Dear students and their parents! Oak Hill Mathcounts club will run the School Competition on January 10, 2023. The competition will take place in School Cafeteria, 2:30-5:30pm, and is open to any Oak Hill student in 6, 7 and 8 grades. We kindly ask to sign up (link posted on Schoology) so we know how many people to expect and print the competition materials accordingly. We might not be able to accommodate students who come without signing up.
The sign up form is open until 23:59pm of January 8.
Please do not forget to bring your calculators! The use of cell phones during competition is strictly prohibited. For the students new to Mathcounts it will be helpful to familiarize themselves with competition format and the expected forms of answers.

M SNAKE 2021
M SNAKE is a local math competition for Oak Hill Middle School and Brown Middle School students. We would like to invite students of any level. M SNAKE is a great opportunity for students who do not have much competition experience to try it out, spend a day solving fun problems with their peers, and meet new friends. Many of the problems in this competition do not require knowledge beyond school curriculum, but knowing some shortcuts and tricks will definitely help to move through problems faster. There are problems that will challenge the most experienced students too.
While winning is fun, this is not necessarily the goal. Math competitions are fun events where students gain experience, push their own limits, learn something new and cool, find motivation to explore more, and connect with others.
