The Oak Harbor Log Cabin
In November 2000 Oak Harbor residents, Bill and Marge Priesman, offered to donate the Log Cabin which was on property they owned. The Oak Harbor Lions Club accepted the challenge some time later, with prompting from Beth Hansen (a former Oak Harbor resident and representative of the 2003 Ohio Bicentennial Committee) to relocate the cabin. The Village of Oak Harbor offered land to rebuild the cabin where the former Town Hall stood. The Air National Guard Red Horse Squadron and Lions Club members helped move the cabin log by log.
After construction was completed, the log cabin became the property of the Village of Oak Harbor in July 2005. The park surrounding the log cabin was dedicated as Adolphus Kraemer Park on October 10, 2009. The accomplishments of Mr. Kraemer, known as the founding father of Oak Harbor, are listed on the plaque in the park.
