Resources from the 2017 Fall Conference

Did you miss a session you wanted to go to? Or did you get locked out of a session because it was packed? Look in your bag and find the form for OAGC to access the resources from ALL the speakers. I have also put those directions below.

In order to access the speaker presentations, please use the following instructions and you are currently an OAGC member.

1. Go to www.oagc.com

2. Click on "Log In" in the right hand corner of the page.

3. Use the following information to log in:

4. Once you have successfully logged in, click the "General Members" on your welcome screen.

5. This login will be active for 90 days.

6. OAGC members may continue to access this area with their active login email.

To access the presentation the Teacher Division did, or past presentations click on the Conference tab and a sub tab called PRESENTATIONS will drop down.

March 19: Misdiagnosis: We will be discussing the issues that parents and teachers face when their their gifted child is misdiagnosed. Our featured guest will be Marianne Kuzujanakis (@MarianneKuz). She is the co-Author of Misdiagnosis and Duel Diagnosis of Gifted Children and Adults.

Jan. 8: Summer Camps, Summer Activities Catherine Rogliano from SIG (@SIGifted) will be our guest. In this chat, we could to discuss what SIG as to offer as summer camps, why teachers should encourage parents to send their children to summer camps, and why it is important to for parents to invest money and time into gifted summer camps.

Jan 22: Importance of field trips, internships, and opportunities for career exploration: Gifted children need to have the opportunity to be challenged. Sometimes that doesn't happen in the classroom. We will explore this topic as it relates to gifted education.

The Teacher Division sponsors the #ohiogtchat. This chat is designed to help bring teachers, administrators, parents, and advocates of gifted children together and talk about topics that are important to Gifted Education. We encourage you to check out the #ohiogtchat website. There is a lot of information there. The ohiogtchat happens bi-monthly on Sundays at 9pm ET.
