Prague-The Crown of Bohemia Enfield Over 5os forum trip November 2025
Our group of 23 had a wonderful autumnal city break in the Czech Republic, based in the historical and beautiful city of Prague. Our hotel was modern and welcoming with good service, food and rooms. We were only a one-minute walk from the metro into the city centre which was great fun on our last day when we had enough time to return to our favourite places.
Our guide Jana was excellent, and she took a lot of care of our less mobile members, which was really appreciated. Her knowledge was superb and her English was fantastic so very easy for all of us who spoke no Czech!
The programme was so varied, and this made the experience a delight. A mixture of history, wine tasting, local cuisine, cruising on the river, gentle walking tours along some of the most beautiful streets in Europe.
Karlovy Vary was an excellent trip out of Prague to see a stunning spa town which really left us speechless. The beauty of the buildings, the horse carriages, the hot thermal spring and the sheer scale of the wellness centres were amazing. The Moser glass factory was so impressive and we just wished we could afford to buy some of the most exquisite glasses in the world.
Our last day saw many of us have lunch in a famous Jewish restaurant in the Jewish quarter, which our guide had pointed out on our city tour. It is worth booking in advance to savour the delights on the menu.
All in all, a most memorable short break, taking in all the must-see bridges and places plus many smaller delights en route in every direction.
