Exhibition - The Last Days of Pompeii (An Immersive Experience)
Join a small group of forum members to discover the rise and fall of Pompeii like never before. The immersive exhibition takes you on a multisensory journey into the heart of the Roman city, brought to life through spectacular video projections, evocative soundscapes and interactive installations. Stroll through bustling streets, witness gladiator battles and experience the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in a stunning digital re-creation of history.
Meeting at Enfield Town Station at 11.45am for the 11.53am train to Liverpool Street. We will gather for lunch before making our way to the gallery. The tickets are booked for 2pm and the gallery takes about 1.5 hours to get round - so we should be back in enfield Town about 4.30pm/5pm.
Tickets are £26 each.

Mississippi Riverboat Cruise
We drive to the Norfolk Broads and after lunch in the Broadland Village of Horning, board the 'Southern Comfort' which is a unique reconstruction of a Mississippi Riverboat to spend the afternoon cruising through the Broadland scenery.
Throughout the trip there is excellent commentary from the skipper and continual pointing out of all the wildlife around at the time, with background music played for the return journey.
The upper deck has inside and outside seating and provides excellent views across the reed beds. The lower deck is wheelchair accessible and has a plush lounge inside, along with our onboard bar. Toilets are also located on the lower deck and there is outside seating available.
Licensed bar on board for drinks, snacks and souvenir purchases (cash only).

Historic Warwick Day Trip
Enjoy a mid-summer day out with us, exploring gardens and medieval wonders in the Heart of England. We travel by coach from Enfield at 8.30am and spend the first part of the day visiting a fully restored community garden, called Guys Cliffe, originally designed in 1700.Later, after a delicious lunch in the Great Hall café at The Lord Leycester, we will enjoy a guided tour of the medieval buildings and gardens by resident ex-servicemen. There will be some free time in compact Warwick to explore before returning to Enfield at around 6. 30pm.This trip is suitable for most abilities as there is not much walking.
The trip costs £65.50 pp which includes return luxury coach travel, entry fees, guided tours, driver tip, a small Forum donation and a prize draw ticket for the return journey (10 prizes). Lunch and drinks are paid individually on the day BUT menu choices should be returned to Olivia with your booking form as the restaurant needs all orders in advance.
