nzolani renewable at cop28

DUBAI-UAE November 30, 2023 – December 12, 2023

Nzolani Renewable is present at COP 28, the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, taking place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, from 30th to December 12th, 2023. The CEO of Nzolani, Engineer Verónica Choconesa, representing Nzolani Renewable was present at the event and showed two innovative renewable energy and carbon footprint reduction projects:

Nzolani is developing a project to produce fibers from banana pseudostem, an agricultural residue abundant in Angola. Banana fibers are a sustainable and renewable raw material that can be used in the production of a variety of products, such as textiles, paper, plastics, and biofuels. Engineer Verónica Choconesa presented the project at COP 28 and received positive feedback from participants. The project has the potential to contribute to reducing pollution and waste generation in Angola.

Nzolani is also developing a project to produce green hydrogen from artificial photosynthesis with algae. Green hydrogen is a clean, renewable energy source that can be used to replace fossil fuels. Engineer Verónica Choconesa presented the project at COP 28 and highlighted its potential to contribute to the energy transition in Angola. The project is still in the development phase but has the potential to be an innovative solution for the production of clean energy in the country. Nzolani's participation in COP 28 is an opportunity for the company to present its innovative renewable energy projects and contribute to the global discussion on climate change. The company is committed to promoting the development of renewable energy in Angola and the African region.
