This committee is charged with the duty of activating and quickening the spirit of American patriotism throughout the State and shall

• plan, promote and develop programs which stress the history and the democratic principles of our nation and the advantages of life in a free society

• alert our peoples to the ever present dangers of terrorism and other antagonistic foreign ideologies detrimental to our American way of life

• alert our peoples to the urgency of militant support and defense of our Government, its institutions and ideals

• vigorously carry out the Americanism program of the Grand Lodge

• assist, encourage and co-operate with all Lodges in promoting appropriate activities among the Lodges of the State for the observance of Flag Day

• perform such other duties in connection therewith as may be assigned to it by the President.
