Create a new email message to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU.
Leave the subject line blank
In the body of the message, type the following on the first line:
subscribe NYSCILIB Your_name
Example: if your name is Melville Dewey, type 'subscribe NYSCILIB Melville Dewey'
If you use an automatic “signature” in your email software, delete or disable it so it doesn’t interfere with Listserv reading your subscription commands.
Send your message.
Once you have joined the listserv, you may send messages to the list at NYSCILIB@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU.
