The purpose of this website is to inform citizens in New York State of the efforts being made to create a fair postseason playoff format for public high school teams formed from school districts with boundary maps.

Beyond the goal of informing others, this website will also provide you with information and courses of action you can take to contact policy makers in positions of responsibility to voice your support for creating an equitable opportunity to New York State  public high school athletes on teams formed with district boundary maps.

As of December 2024, there are two parallel paths that are potential solutions to this issue.

One path is in the hands of the New York State legislature in  Bill A10121 recently proposed by (R) Assemblyman Matt Slater from District 94.

The other path to a solution in the hands of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) who held a meeting in mid October of 2024 with statewide representation dedicated to examining the idea of creating a new post season classification(s) for non boundary mapped schools such as charter schools and private schools.  This committee will meet again in February of 2025.
