About Us

New York Mills Optimist Biddy Basketball (NYMOBB) is a basketball program exclusively for New York Mills students in grades 1 through 6. The program typically runs for six weeks from January through February, meeting one night per week, and requires registration to participate.

NYMOBB is sponsored by the New York Mills Optimist Club and is not affiliated with the school, though the program utilizes New York Mills School facilities.

Founded in 1973, the New York Mills Optimist Club has supported youth programs for decades, including the annual Turkey Trot, the Optimist Student of the Month recognition, Biddy Basketball, and the seasonal decorating of the Main Street gazebo at Pulaski Park for the community to enjoy.
